Here's a picture Yasmine took that i find particularly eery and beautiful. It was taken during her recent trip to Sudan. On that trip Yasmine personally met Hassan al-Turabi at his house. He is one of the main conservative thinkers in Sudan who was directly involved in the writing of the sudanese constitution based on the Sharia. Interestingly, in front of a western public he projects the image of a very moderate and liberal minded thinker whereas in front of his followers he is known to be a hardliner. In fact, rumour has it that he is close to Ben Laden (no less) and facilitated his stay in Sudan back in the 1990s.
